Frutmaka

These are not my own creation. But I thought these guys were so cool I had to try drawing them. Did a little of my own interpreting too...

The frutmaka are a race of solid, fungal sophonts who evolved around a black hole. Their solid bodies are resilient to the hard radiation of their parent black hole and most predators. As a result, their metabolisms are extreamly slow, and they are nearly sessile moving at glacial speeds. One of their senses includes the detection of atomic vibrations through extensivevibrators within themselves. They have the ability to controll atoms through these vibrations and so managed to develope advanced nanotechnology. Their most profound ability now is telaportation and they use this to move, or more often, to move others to them. The frutmaka beleive their black hole is and intelligent god called Graveesha. Their race as a whole is deeply in love with Graveesha and they feel they must please her by making sacrifices. They ocasionaly telaport other sophont beings into the black hole to remain in harmony with their god.
